Where is best for a Romantic break - for Valentines, an Anniversary, Birthday or any other celebration?
Where would you suggest for a Romantic Break - the city, the country or a golden sandy beach? Thinking about Romantic Getaways so close to Valentines day has made me wonder whether a proposal up the Eiffel Tower is actually romantic, or just a bit corney? We tend to have our own ideals of what a perfect getaway would include, but would we ever be satisfied with a trip to Paris - I know I would! Let us know what your ideal Romantic Break would be and your experiences... ![]() Last edited by Holidays Info : 02-14-2008 at 11:55 AM. |

I think that some places, such as Paris and Venice, are too hyped-up. Surely romance is about the people and not the place?
My husband and I had a really nice and romantic break in Lisbon last year. It was really lovely, and perfect for those who want an unconventional romantic break. We did lots of sight seeing, as well as relaxing on the beach. Just as many European countries, Portugal is very relaxed, and so we spent many evenings sitting outside eating our dinner or having some drinks. Its the ideal place to get away together and relax. |
