Want to book a holiday for a large group and don't know where to start? Take a look at our short guide to finding the perfect place to go, whether you are on a budget, want to stay home or go abroad...
France is the most ideal place to go in large groups, from camping in the South of France to city-hopping in the North, there are many ways to make France affordable for a large group. Camping is the easiest way to accomodate many people, and is also affordable - you can all travel by car, splitting cheaper ferry and petrol costs. Camping itself is also cheaper than a hotel, and the cost of this can be split, as can food costs, which are much cheaper if you are cooking for yourself. The South of France provides lots of sun, sea and culture and with so much to do, it would be hard to get bored of a holiday in France.
Spain and
Italy are also ideal places for groups - these holidays can be made really affordable, and you can also find many cheap deals at the last minute. It is possible to drive to Spain and Italy, although budget flights would also be affordable. Camping again is an option, as are villas and self-catering apartments. Last minute holidays to these destinations are ideal - just make sure there are enough spaces for all of your group.
The
United Kingdom is also a perfect place for an affordable group holiday. There are many places to explore, and camping, hostels and cheap B&Bs make this a great option. Travel also becomes cheaper, due to the short distance - train is also an option, as booking in advance gives you cheap prices. The only downside to travelling in the UK is the weather - which is not guarenteed, even in the summer. But you do get miles of history, museums, and great walks - all of which are affordable for a group holiday.
