For anyone looking to visit a country where each city seems to be so diverse from the next...Thailand would definately be the way forward.
I went to Thailand a couple of years back and absolutely loved it! When you go there you realise why it has become such a popular destination...affordable prices, beautiful sceneary, scrumptious food....the list goes on!
If you're looking for the hustle and bustle core of Thailand, Bangkok is the place to be. Khaosan is probably one of the most well known streets in Bangkok burtsing with tourists, hostels, travel agency's and market stalls (competition is fierce!). If you have a bit of moolah to spend and are looking to refresh your wardrobe I would definately suggest staying here for a short while. For suggestions of great shops and markets, speak to the locals.
To get a taste of a more traditional way of life head to the city of Chiang Mai in the North. If you're looking to save a penny or two on silk tapestry's visit the Karen Hill Tribe- you will seriously be stunned by the prices! BE-A-Utiful!
For fun and frivolities, the Koh Phangan full moon party must not be missed

.It's a frenzy of fire eaters, dj's, impromtu fireworks and glow in the dark paint that will keep you wide awake into the early hours

.
So whether you are looking for a bit of rest and relaxation or a party fuelled holiday, tuk tuk your way to the land of smiles (maybe not the most reliable mode of transport but I thought the tuk tuk was worthy of a mention!).
