Not sure where to go on holiday – have a look at some of the Best Winter Holiday Destinations!

Whether you have the winter blues and fancy some sunshine or whether you prefer to delve into the snow, we have something for everyone…

Morocco

Morocco is the ideal place for those wanting to warm up from the cold British weather. The warm temperatures and stunning mixture of ancient and modern architecture makes Morocco an ideal place to explore and in which to relax. Morocco offers high standards of accommodation, and many luxury hotels offer al-inclusive packages all year round. The beaches here have soft sands and for those who do not want to sit beside the sea there are many world-class golf courses available.

Spain

Spain is one of the most popular destinations for British holidaymakers all year round, especially for families. The most well-known areas are the Costa Blanca and the Costa Del Sol, which are both good for winter breaks because the sun shines here all winter. Spain is also able to offer affordable accommodation, and there are many self-catering and bed and breakfast deals to be found. However, the resorts in Spain have a large amount of variety and it is worth looking for somewhere to suit your needs.

France

France is an ideal place for skiing during the winter season. It has the largest lift systems and piste networks in the world, and offers the highest sking resorts in Europe. There is snow cover guaranteed throughout the whole of the season, and most resorts offer slopes for all abilities. The accommodation within the ski resorts are purpose built and can vary in price, as to suit every budget. One of the most amazing aspects of French ski resorts is the fantastic scenery and the accommodation has been built to compliment the surroundings. The proximity to the UK can also make France the perfect destination for those wanting to travel on a budget.

Italy

Italy’s ski resorts are spread between two areas; The Italian Alps and the Italian dolomites. Ski holidays in Italy are normally cheaper than similar destinations, as is the amenities whilst you are there. Italy’s ski resorts also have a great snow record, and the locals appreciate this by skiing at the weekends. Italy hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics, and it is not hard to see why these resorts are so popular.

Switzerland

Switzerland is thought of as the most luxurious and expensive skiing destinations in Europe. However, because of this you are guaranteed quality within the ski resorts of Switzerland. From accommodation, skiing, food and drink, you get what you pay for in Switzerland. Many of the ski resorts here are located high up the mountains, but are located within existing communities, unlike the purpose built resorts of other countries. Switzerland also provides superb skiing opportunities for any abilities, although the ski facilities available still do not match those of the French standards.
