So good they named it twice!! New York is an amazing city, with so much to see and do!

I went with my Mum in February and had a great time (if a little chilly!). We managed to do most of what we had wanted within the three days - we went to Bloomingdale's, Macy's and the other big shops we don't have in England, like Victoria's Secret. We also managed to do the tourist attractions as well, such as the Empire State Building. However, we were unable to get to the Statue of Liberty because of security problems. But instead we took the Stattan Island Ferry, which takes you across to the island and past the Statue, for a very small fee - saving us more money to spend on shopping! We also went to a broadway show of Chicago, which was fantastic, although I recommend waiting to buy tickets until you get there, as the ones we bought over the internet in advance did not get us a very good view!

The food was amazing - our hotel, The Edison, had an all-American cafe attached to it where we had stacks of pancakes every morning. We also went to the well-known restaurants such as Planet Hollywood and the Hard Rock Cafe. However, I was disappointed that we didn't find any nice, unique places to eat like you see in the films (maybe others have some suggestions?).

Overall we had a great trip, flying with Virgin was a great experience, and New York is the perfect place to shop, eat and see the iconic sites.
